National park Bohemian Switzerland is one of the most visit destinations in Czech Republic. Only 1 hour from Prague by car – and you are exploring 72 square kilometres of Europe’s largest wildernesses.
The name “Bohemian Switzerland” was given by Swiss painters from Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, that visited this location in 18th century a fell in love with it.
Not a surprise that Bohemian Switzerland was chosen for filming of some parts of magic fairy tale “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” in 2005. The Tisa village sandstone mountains made perfect background for creation of magic land. The movie was filmed in winter, I visited Tisa rocks in fall but the trail is beautiful in every season. All you need – just follow the trail and take million photos with unusual formations of sandstones. But be careful! Don`t get lost in sandstone rocks labyrinth.
